Refreshing Borders

Looking to create a border in your garden that feels both fresh and full of springtime?

There is nothing like the combination of white and blue flowers to make a statement in your yard and to bring about a calming and cool feeling on even the warmest sunny days.

Firstly, there is nothing like the charm of little Forget-Me-Nots (Myosotis) peppered throughout your border. These wonderful little flowers self seed and propegate extremely well if they like their environment, coming back in abundance year after year. Forget-Me-Nots make a great choice for a bottom layer to your refreshing blue and white border.

A good bulb to have throughout this border would be the striking White Parrot Tulip. Littered amongst these bulbs, be sure to scatter quite a few Muscari bulbs, or Grape Hyacinths. A third bulb to add to the array is the breathtaking Ice Follies Narcissus (Daffodil). All of these bulbs throughout the border, coming up at different times during the blooming period, will keep your garden looking vibrant and colorful for weeks on end.

For some final touches, be sure to try adding a few annuals of your own choosing within the border. White pansies or petunias are always cheerful and do well in the garden. And what could be more delightful than edging the border with lovely silver and white hosta, spilling over into the blues and whites of the rest of your bulbs and annuals? We're sure your refreshing border will keep you envigorated in the garden season after season!
